2 DIY Body Care Recipes for Pickle Lovers

 


These pickle-themed recipes started out as an April Fool's joke, but quickly turned into a reality when I realized how many people love ALL things pickles.  Even body care! Whether you are a pickle connoisseur, or are looking for a fun (or gag) gift for the pickle lovers in your life, these simple recipes are quick and easy to craft and are a whole lot of fun to share. 


Pickle Bath Soak

Makes about 4 cups of bath salt.

Marinade your troubles away in this pickle-themed bath soak!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Mix salt and dill weed together until combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix sunflower oil and essential oils and mix well/. 
  3. Drip in the essential oil and stir well. Sprinkle 1/4 to 1/2 cup into your bath as hot water fills the tub.
  4. Once dissolved, step in and soak your troubles away.  


Pro Tips

  • This recipe is NOT intended for consumption as we do not recommend the ingestion of essential oils. If you are making this craft for others, be sure to label this as Bath Salts. 
  • To use, add 1/2 - 1 cup of mixture into bath and enjoy. 
  • Be mindful when existing the tub. Your feet may be slippery from the skin-moisturizing oils.

Pickle Lip Balm

Pucker up with a lip balm made for pickle people!

Ingredients

Directions
  1. Gently heat the oil, shea butter, and beeswax over medium heat until melted.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in essential oils
  3. Pour into lip balm contains and allow to cool before putting lid on.
  4. Label with ingredients and date made.
