What Are Sustainable Business Practices?

Written by Alyssa | June 22, 2017

Buzzwords are everywhere these days and “sustainability” is right there at the top of the list. But what does it mean to use sustainable business practices? It’s often defined by the triple bottom line – people, planet, and profit – a term coined by author and entrepreneur, John Elkington, in 1994. Elkington believes in corporate responsibility, sustainable development, and looking at the full cost of doing business.

Mountain Rose Herbs takes the premise of the triple bottom line one step further and promises to put “people and planet before profit.” We consider the environmental and social impact of every business decision we make. We are proud to be a group of environmentalists and social justice activists working every day to provide the highest quality organic herbs to our customers. We’re a company with a conscience!
