People and Planet before Profit!

After our site visit in November, we’re overjoyed to be RE:think certified once again. Businesses achieve RE:think certification by practicing conservation and efficiency actions across five categories: materials and waste management, energy efficiency and conservation, water conservation, water quality, and purchasing. To learn more about how we reduce waste, offset our carbon emissions, develop employee wellness programs, and support our community, view our annual Sustainability Report

We are humbled by this glowing praise...

"Mountain Rose Herbs is the yardstick for how success should be measured, ‘People and planet before profit.’ Your practices are an inspiration to all businesses." - Angie R. Marzano, Director of Business Development & RE:think, BRING Recycling

"Zero Waste companies like Mountain Rose Herbs that lead by example are creating a sustainable business network and culture in our community. Mountain Rose displays upstream thinking by ensuring that its waste materials are reused, recycled, composted, reclaimed, or returned to the production cycle." - Carolyn Stein, Executive Director, BRING Recycling

Founded in 1971, BRING is one of the nation’s oldest non-profit conservation organizations. From selling used building materials, to teaching kids the 4-Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle, rethink), to helping businesses save money, BRING helps Lane County residents live well without waste.

For Oregon folks, visit BRING’s Planet Improvement Center which integrates a huge retail store with a conservation learning center, located at 4446 Franklin Blvd. in Glenwood, OR. To learn more about BRING, call 541-746-3023 or visit www.bringrecycling.org.

"The RE:think Business program is a great way for businesses to engage in sustainable practices and to be recognized for their efforts. Each business we work with gets customized recommendations and reports to help them get certified through our program. Currently, there are over 100 RE:Think-certified businesses in Lane County and the list is growing!" - Carolyn Stein, Executive Director, BRING Recycling

We encourage all Lane County businesses to reach out to BRING and become RE:think certified!
