Double Your Donation to Save the Elliott Forest

Help us climb the mountain and save the Elliott State Forest!

I grew up exploring the forest in my backyard, splashing in creeks, climbing trees, and playing imaginary games. Throughout my childhood, we took family hiking and camping trips in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Access to public lands allowed me and countless others to connect with nature. Those experiences shaped who I am.

Oregon is my home these days and I feel that same connection to the forest. I love packing up the car and making my way into the wilderness, away from cell service and the buzz of the highway. Whether it’s the Cascade Range or the Coast Range, I’m happy being outside!

The 93,000-acre Elliott State Forest is one of those places that provides an escape and is spiritually restorative. But the Elliott is under attack. The Oregon State Land Board may privatize and sell the Elliott to logging corporations as soon as December. Cascadia Wildlands is fighting to keep the Elliott in public hands!

During the month of November, Mountain Rose Herbs will double your donation up to $7,500 to Cascadia Wildlands to save the Elliott State Forest!

Not only that but with a monthly gift of $15+ to Cascadia Wildlands, you will receive a $75 Mountain Rose Herbs gift certificate!

Our clean water, unparalleled recreation destinations, imperiled salmon and wildlife habitat, incomparable carbon storage to mitigate climate change are all threatened with the proposal to privatize the 93,000-acre Elliott State Forest. Mountain Rose Herbs' matching gift campaign lays out an incredibly generous offer to leverage your support to help keep the Elliott in public ownership for its incredible values. I hope you can take advantage of it, and stand with Cascadia Wildlands and Mountain Rose Herbs to keep this incredible coastal rainforest from being turned into stump fields.
