DIY Foaming Hand Soap: Fall Scent

Written by Jessicka | October 4, 2023

I’m a sucker for seasonal scents. As soon as fall arrives, I begin making homemade wax melts, diffuser blends, roll-on perfumes, and natural skincare recipes to match the seasonal shift. I was recently inspired by my dear colleague Heidi’s autumn spice lotion recipe and I thought a foaming hand soap would make a great compliment.

Foaming hand soap is a lot easier to make than you might think and I love having my homemade wares in my guest bathroom. It allows me to share my passion for all things DIY and these recipes always seem to open up new conversations and ways of sharing my crafts with friends and family. (It also often gives me ideas for gift-giving when they express that they like a particular scent or recipe.)

For this recipe, I took almost the exact essential oil blend from Heidi’s recipe but swapped the lavender for a bit of pink peppercorn essential oil. It remains one of my favorite essential oils and I’m always looking for an excuse to work with it. This was indeed a winning addition!

How to Make Foaming Hand Soap: Fall Spice Scent

Makes about 4 ounces of soap.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to foaming pump bottle.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Label with blend and enjoy!

Pro Tips

  • A foaming pump bottle is required to create the foam. You can use this recipe without this type of bottle if the foam isn't important to you.
  • I made this soap in a small batch so you can easily scale based on your size bottle.
