While most folks are quite familiar with shea butter, we've found that organic shea nut oil often gets overlooked. Much like shea butter, it makes an absolutely lovely addition to many body care products.
Shea nut oil is the oil extracted from the shea nut, which is native to Africa. Shea nut oil has been used for thousands of years as a valuable ingredient to nourish skin and hair.
During the expeller process for the butter, a small amount of fractionated liquid oil is extracted directly from the nut. This oil is thick and can be slightly cloudy because of the fat content. It contains oleic acid, which can be very beneficial for the skin and hair.
