Elemental Perfume Blend with Essential Oils: Earth Goddess Perfume Recipe

Written by Jessicka | June 22, 2023

As a newly engaged person, I am starting to look at things a bit differently. For instance, creating recipes is a major part of my life, and I find myself experiencing that process through a slightly different lens. Now as well as recipes that I craft for my own use, I am starting to consider party favors and elements to include in my wedding. I've been thinking that a variety of homemade perfumes made with organic ingredients would be a fun zero-waste party favor and they are incredibly easy to scale up and to make in bulk. So, I went to the drawing board with some themes and ideas.

As a Taurus, Earth is most certainly the element I feel the deepest connection with, and it’s a major inspiration source in my crafts. It’s something I can tap into very easily, as if it’s just an extension of being. So this blend, which I aptly named the “Earth Goddess” blend, was quite fast to create and took me virtually no trial and error. My intuition led the way in finding which oils to use and how much of each. The scent turned out deep and resinous—reminiscent of freshly fallen rain with a bright sage top note. And, as if the smell wasn’t earthly enough, the perfume turned out to be a beautiful brown hue!

This is one of the blends that will very likely be on the party favor table and is already in my purse, work desk, and self-care cabinet at home. I am currently working on other elemental perfume blends to share on “the big day” so if this one doesn’t appeal to you, you may enjoy the Mermaid Blend I’ll share in a few weeks! Stay tuned…

Earth Goddess Perfume Blend

Makes (1) 10mL perfume bottle.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Drop essential oils into a 10mL roll-top bottle.
  2. Cap the bottle and roll between palms to incorporate oils.
  3. Remove cap and add carrier oil of choice.
  4. Cap the bottle and roll in palms once again to incorporate.
  5. Label your bottle, enjoy, and share!

Pro Tip: If crafting these in bulk, I recommend creating a big batch of the essential oil blend and adding about 21 drops of that into each bottle.
