Burdock, Turmeric, and Spearmint Herbal Tea Blend

TeaRecipe

Whether I'm gathering veggies for supper or working away the day's frustrations by pulling weeds and bringing temporary order to the chaos of a wild patch, my garden is often my inspiration. I tend to let what other folks might consider weeds like Burdock, Dandelion, and Comfrey grow where they plant themselves and tuck all sorts of herbs and plants in pots, cracks, and corners. I suspect I might be in pretty good company with many Mountain Rose fans when it comes to my partnership with Mother Nature in co-creating my garden!

Burdock is a favorite herb of many and the basis for this soothing tea. It can be a bit bitter though (one of its wonderful properties), so I've added some other garden-inspired herbs for taste and their cooling properties. I'm also trying to find fun ways to consume more Turmeric and tucking it into a flavorful tea is one of my favorite ways so far!

Combine all the herbs in a nest, infuser or strainer and pour 1 1/2 to 2 cups boiling water over. Allow to steep for 4-5 minutes. Remove herbs and compost. I enjoy this tea as is without any extra sweetner, but feel free to add a little honey, lemon or organic sugar if you'd like. Enjoy!
